OUT OF STATE ARTISTS!!
If you are coming from out of state,
complete the process below to apply for the guest artist license though
the Virginia Department of Professional & Occupational Regulation.

Health Certificates
They only accept the health certificates on their list of approved providers.
See their list of approved providers via this link.
You are to complete the application and Mail or Fax it DIRECTLY to them!
This is part of the state regulation, and applications are processed by the state.
Also include copies of:
- Your ID (drivers license,passport or state ID)
- Health certification certificates (BBP& First Aid)*
- Your tattoo license (if your state requires them)
- Payment for the fee (check, money order or their credit card form)
**The last section of the application asks for "Guest Sponsor Parlor/Salon - Responsible Manager" information,this does NOT apply to events, write "N/A-EVENT". **The DPOR staff has been known to kick back applications asking for this info,you may need to call and remind them this doesn’t apply to events.I talked to a DPOR License specialist on the phone and she advised us to be sure to include the event name, dates and location on the application.

IF YOU ARE COMING FROM OUT OF STATE AND HAVE NOT GOTTEN THE GUEST LICENSE YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO TATTOO AT THE EXPO!

**City Business License.**
The City of Norfolk requires vendors at special events to apply for
a special event business license.
There has been some confusion because it's a multi step process.
How to Apply:
First you fill out the city form via this link:
Second you fill out the application with zoning.
*Be sure to put Event on the address section*

You will then receive an email of approval from zoning, and finally an
email from the city revenue office with a link to pay the $50 fee.
(you can also mail the payment with a copy of their invoice).
You must wait at least 20 minutes after receiving the payment link to login and pay.
This process can take a few days between submission and approval emails.
They used to streamline this process and allow us to submit it for everyone,
now they want each person to do it individually.
If you have any trouble contact the zoning office or commissioners office.
For zoning, sometimes they are quick to respond other times they can be hard to reach.
They do prefer email correspondence do to the high volume of calls they receive,

If any vendor has questions and needs assistance with completing the process this year,
